Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the implementation of a high-availability, multi-site network architecture connecting all 16 host stadiums.
- Legacy Planning: Ensure all infrastructure deployments meet long-term legacy goals for host cities, including public Wi-Fi and civic network improvements.
- Vendor Management: Lead the technical evaluation and integration of 5G, SD-WAN, and edge computing solutions from global telecom partners.
- Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive tournament data and secure broadcast feeds.
- Stadium Deployment: Direct on-site technical teams during stadium build-outs to ensure network readiness and redundancy.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor network traffic and performance to guarantee zero downtime during high-traffic match events.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in network architecture, systems engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: Professional certification (e.g., CCIE, AWS Solutions Architect, GCIH) is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, SDN, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Project Management: Proven track record of leading complex, large-scale infrastructure projects with tight deadlines.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
