Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot network systems during overnight shifts
- Collaborate with on-call engineers for incident resolution
- Document system performance metrics and maintenance logs
- Participate in weekend system upgrades and patch deployments
- Support cybersecurity protocols and vulnerability assessments
- Train on proprietary monitoring tools and incident response workflows
- Communicate status updates to day-shift teams via handover protocols
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering program
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Available for 3-4 night shifts per week (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficient with Windows/Linux command-line interfaces
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license (for occasional on-site emergencies)
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification preferred
