Responsibilities
- Monitor System Operations: Oversee critical network systems and servers during night shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime and stability.
- Tier 1 Support: Assist clients via chat and email with technical inquiries, troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues.
- Data Integrity: Accurately input and maintain customer records and logs in our CRM database during off-peak hours.
- Report Generation: Compile daily performance reports and operational metrics for the morning shift leadership team.
- Crisis Management: Respond to system alerts or anomalies immediately, escalating issues to senior engineers when necessary.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in night operations and suggest actionable improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work Night Shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM EST/PST) and commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week for Summer/Fall start dates.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Windows/Mac OS, networking concepts, and remote support tools.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-centric tone.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the night shift.
- Location: Must reside in or near Washington, DC or be willing to work a remote hybrid model covering California time zones.
