Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise security infrastructure and analyze alerts during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Document security incidents and escalate critical threats using ticketing systems
- Perform vulnerability scans and patch management on production systems
- Assist with firewall rule updates and access request approvals
- Participate in tabletop exercises simulating cyber attack scenarios
- Contribute to SOC dashboards and threat intelligence reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during major incident response
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Availability to work 40-hour night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) during internship period
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
- Experience with command-line interfaces (Linux/Windows)
- Familiarity with security tools (Wireshark, Nessus, or SIEM platforms)
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification preferred
- Strong written communication skills for incident documentation
- Ability to maintain situational awareness during overnight hours
