Join CyberSecure Solutions' elite cybersecurity team as a Night Shift IT Intern! This immersive 12-week program offers hands-on experience protecting critical infrastructure while working flexible night hours (10 PM - 6 AM). Perfect for students pursuing computer science, IT, or cybersecurity degrees. Gain exposure to enterprise firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and incident response protocols while earning competitive compensation. Our mentorship program includes weekly workshops with senior engineers and potential conversion to full-time roles. Start dates available for Summer (June) and Fall (September) 2024.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security dashboards and respond to alerts during night shift hours
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and patch management cycles
- Document security incidents and create detailed incident reports
- Participate in simulated phishing campaigns and security awareness training
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during emergency response drills
- Perform system hardening on Windows/Linux servers
- Update security documentation and SOPs
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Available to work 40 hours/week on night shift schedule
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (in progress or planned)
