Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and respond to alerts during night shift operations
- Assist in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing exercises
- Document incident reports and maintain security logs
- Collaborate with SOC analysts on threat intelligence analysis
- Perform system backups and restore procedures
- Install and configure security software updates
- Participate in cross-departmental cybersecurity drills
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related program
- Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Available for summer 2024 or fall 2024 start date
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification preferred
