Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents during night shift operations
- Analyze network traffic for suspicious activity using SIEM tools
- Document security incidents and mitigation actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during incident response
- Participate in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing exercises
- Assist in maintaining security documentation and policies
- Complete weekly training modules on emerging threats
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, firewalls)
- Familiarity with security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit)
- Ability to work independently during night hours
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Availability for 3-4 nights/week (minimum 24 hrs/week)
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification preferred
