Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems during overnight shifts
- Perform initial triage on security alerts and document incident reports
- Assist with patch management and vulnerability scanning procedures
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure components (routers, firewalls)
- Participate in tabletop exercises simulating cyberattack scenarios
- Document technical procedures and knowledge base articles
- Collaborate with global IT teams during cross-continental incidents
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, IT, or Cybersecurity program
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
