Responsibilities
- Monitor server health and network performance alerts during overnight shifts.
- Resolve incoming IT help desk tickets and user access issues with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates in the off-peak hours.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software for remote clients.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in our knowledge base for the day shift team.
- Conduct random quality assurance checks on completed tasks to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Communicate effectively with day-shift supervisors to escalate critical issues and hand over pending tasks.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex tech concepts to non-technical users.
- Must be available to work a consistent night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic scripting (Python/Bash is a plus).
