What You Will Do:
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor server health, network traffic, and application performance during off-peak hours.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for remote and on-site users.
- Support Tickets: Assist the Service Desk team by prioritizing and resolving Level 1 and Level 2 help desk tickets.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of technical issues and resolutions in our ticketing system.
- Deployment: Assist in the setup and configuration of new workstations, printers, and peripherals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor system health and performance metrics on the night shift schedule.
- Resolve end-user technical issues via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Perform routine software updates, patch management, and security scans.
- Assist in the physical setup of office equipment and IT inventory management.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team to ensure seamless transitions.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to receive college credit for this internship.
- Availability to work a fixed night shift (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Monday through Friday.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems (10/11) and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
