Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor server performance and network traffic overnight to ensure 99.9% uptime and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Technical Support: Assist the night operations team with troubleshooting hardware and software issues for internal stakeholders.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze system logs and performance metrics to generate reports for the day shift leadership team.
- Documentation: Update technical documentation and runbooks to reflect current system configurations and procedures.
- Coding Assistance: Support senior developers in deploying code updates and testing new features in a controlled environment.
- Security Compliance: Assist in maintaining security protocols and scanning for vulnerabilities during the quiet night hours.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work a consistent Night Shift schedule (e.g., 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Python; familiarity with Linux/Windows command line is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Reliability: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation (though the shift is local).
