Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and test high-quality software applications using modern technologies.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews within our cross-functional agile teams.
- System Optimization: Analyze existing codebases and propose improvements to enhance system performance, scalability, and security.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, API specs, and user manuals to support the development lifecycle.
- Deployment: Assist in the deployment of software solutions to production environments using CI/CD pipelines.
- Research: Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering and data science.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript) and experience with SQL databases.
- College Credit: Must be eligible to receive college credit for this internship position.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work hybrid (Washington, DC) and occasionally connect with teams in New York.
