Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Monitor system logs and dashboards to ensure 99.9% uptime of critical infrastructure during the night shift.
- Ticket Resolution: Assist the helpdesk team by triaging and resolving Level 1 technical support tickets submitted after hours.
- Data Integrity: Perform nightly data backups, validation checks, and database maintenance tasks.
- Documentation: Update internal knowledge bases and create technical runbooks for recurring night-shift procedures.
- Security Audits: Conduct routine security checks and update access logs to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the day-shift team to hand over critical issues and provide daily status reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (sophomores/juniors preferred).
- Availability: Must be available to work a night shift schedule (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Linux/Windows command line, networking concepts, or SQL is a plus.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document technical processes clearly.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Soft Skills: Proactive problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
