Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Paid Night Shift Intern to join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable technical experience in a fast-paced environment while enjoying the flexibility of evening hours.
While our headquarters is based in Louisville, we are expanding our remote capabilities and are actively recruiting talent from North Carolina and other regions. You will work closely with our senior engineering team to support our 24/7 operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain internal server infrastructure and network systems during overnight shifts.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software technical issues reported by staff.
- Perform routine data backups, system updates, and security patching.
- Document technical procedures and maintain detailed logs of all night-time operations.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide Tier 1 technical support to remote employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize night-time workflows.
- Conduct quality assurance testing on new software releases.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work night shifts (6:00 PM - 2:00 AM) with a high level of focus and energy.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
