Responsibilities
- Conduct legislative research and analysis on key policy initiatives affecting Ohio constituents
- Assist in drafting policy briefs, memos, and stakeholder communications
- Monitor congressional and state legislative hearings and committee meetings
- Support stakeholder engagement through meeting coordination and event logistics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on policy development projects
- Contribute to digital advocacy campaigns and grassroots mobilization efforts
- Participate in weekly professional development workshops and mentorship sessions
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or related field
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interest in government affairs, public policy, or nonprofit sector
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Available for 20-30 hours/week during summer/fall semester
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
