Nashville Digital Systems is looking for a talented and ambitious Paid Software Engineering Intern to join our growing team. This is a Full Time position designed for university students seeking to earn College Credit while gaining invaluable industry experience.

What You Will Do:
- Design, develop, and debug software components using modern web technologies.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to refactor code and improve system architecture.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of production environments.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to receive college credit for the internship.
- Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
- Familiarity with Git version control and RESTful APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to commit to 30-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and security best practices.
- Design and implement database schemas and queries.
- Debug complex software issues and propose efficient solutions.
- Work closely with product managers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Engage in continuous learning and skill development within the team.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 required for academic credit validation.
- Strong understanding of front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for technology and a drive to solve real-world problems.
