As a Weekend IT Support Intern, you will assist our senior technicians in maintaining our infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware issues, and ensuring a seamless technology experience for our employees. This role is perfect for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software technical issues for onsite staff and visitors.
- Maintain and update inventory logs for IT assets and peripherals during weekend shifts.
- Provide first-level support and ticket resolution for internal users.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of office networks and printers.
- Monitor server status and perform routine backups and maintenance tasks.
- Support event technology requirements, including audio-visual setup and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for the duration of the summer internship.
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and networking concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to lift and move moderate IT equipment (up to 40 lbs).
