Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Developers: Collaborate on software design, coding, and debugging tasks under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- Code Reviews: Participate in team code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, API specs, and user manuals to ensure project clarity.
- Testing & QA: Perform unit testing and functional testing to identify and report bugs, ensuring a high-quality product.
- Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and programming languages to suggest improvements.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to meet project milestones.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or backend languages (Python, Java, C#) is preferred.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to commit to a minimum of 15-20 hours per week, with potential for full-time hours during school breaks.
- Tools: Familiarity with Git, version control systems, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
