Responsibilities
- Assist the IT team with daily system administration and hardware troubleshooting.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of software applications and operating systems.
- Monitor network performance and security protocols to ensure optimal functionality.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for internal processes.
- Provide tier-1 support to employees regarding software and hardware issues.
- Collaborate on small-scale development projects under senior supervision.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS), and operating systems.
- Basic proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) or web technologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff.
- Must be available to work approximately 20 hours per week on-site in Detroit, MI.
