Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, blockchain, cybersecurity) and their policy implications
- Conduct legislative research and draft policy briefs for congressional stakeholders
- Organize and facilitate stakeholder roundtables with industry leaders and government officials
- Support data visualization projects translating complex policy concepts into actionable insights
- Assist in developing policy recommendations for federal technology initiatives
- Monitor legislative hearings and regulatory proceedings to identify key policy developments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare testimony and reports for congressional briefings
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program in Public Policy, Computer Science, Political Science, or related field
- Strong research and analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, R, Python) and policy databases (LexisNexis, GovInfo)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with federal legislative process and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Previous internship or coursework in technology policy preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
