Responsibilities
- Monitor server performance and alert systems during night hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide Tier 1 technical support and troubleshooting for internal hardware and software issues.
- Document technical procedures and incident reports accurately in our knowledge base.
- Collaborate with the on-call engineering team to resolve escalated technical tickets.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on network infrastructure and peripherals.
- Assist in the testing and deployment of new software patches and updates.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to receive college credit for this internship position.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking concepts.
- Availability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to the San Jose office.
