Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to clients via phone, chat, and remote assistance during weekend shifts
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues including OS conflicts, network connectivity, and peripheral malfunctions
- Document all support tickets using ServiceNow with detailed resolution steps and preventive measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate complex issues and implement long-term solutions
- Assist in deploying new equipment and maintaining inventory of IT assets
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and troubleshooting documentation
- Participate in bi-weekly tech workshops and shadowing sessions with senior engineers
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or recent graduate within 6 months)
- Strong understanding of Windows/macOS operating systems and basic networking concepts
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware/software issues in academic or personal projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Proficiency with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification preferred (not required)
- Valid California driver's license for occasional equipment transport
