Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Develop error mitigation strategies for noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) processors
- Collaborate with cryptography teams to create quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Optimize quantum circuits for specific hardware constraints (superconducting, ion trap)
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical AI frameworks
- Document research findings and contribute to open-source quantum libraries
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithm design or quantum error correction
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ, or D-Wave)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Expertise in at least one classical programming language (Python/C++)
- Understanding of post-quantum cryptography standards (NIST PQ competition)
