Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Optimize quantum circuits for error correction and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate algorithms into executable protocols
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML and cybersecurity teams
- Develop quantum-resistant security frameworks for 2026 infrastructure
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 2+ patents annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years developing quantum algorithms with proven scalability
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with quantum annealing and variational algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Clearance for DoD quantum projects (or ability to obtain)
