Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment
- Develop error-correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Create quantum algorithms for real-world applications in logistics and drug discovery
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Secure patents for novel quantum architectures and methodologies
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit design and error mitigation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature or Science journals on quantum systems
- Expertise in superconducting qubits or trapped-ion technologies
- Strong background in topological quantum computing concepts
- Experience securing DOE or NSF quantum research grants
