Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures compatible with 2026-era applications
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization, simulation, and cryptography
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum coherence and error correction
- Develop roadmaps for quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Mentor quantum research teams and publish breakthrough findings
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum circuit design or quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
