Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm research for practical applications in finance, healthcare, and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams of 15+ researchers in developing error-corrected quantum processors
- Collaborate with industry partners to implement quantum solutions in production environments
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with next-generation hardware architectures
- Secure research funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Publish findings in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Establish quantum security protocols for post-2026 digital infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of quantum research experience
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of leading quantum projects with $5M+ research budgets
- Deep understanding of quantum-classical hybrid computing paradigms
- Strong patents portfolio in quantum technologies (minimum 3 granted patents)
