Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Drive advancements in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant system architectures
- Secure research partnerships with academic institutions and Fortune 500 technology companies
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at global quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures including superconducting qubits and ion traps
- Experience managing research teams and securing government/industry grants
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid systems
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
