Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary quantum research teams to develop scalable quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Design and execute experimental protocols for quantum error correction and qubit stability
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions in cryptography, materials science, and AI
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling technical proposals
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international quantum conferences
- Develop quantum computing curricula for academic and corporate training programs
- Establish ethical frameworks for responsible quantum technology deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years research experience
- Proven track record of published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants exceeding $1M
- Strong proficiency in Python/C++ and quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
