Responsibilities
- Design quantum algorithms for cryptography, AI optimization, and molecular simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for commercial deployment
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Partner with AWS/IBM quantum cloud infrastructure teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DARPA)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
