Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Design and implement error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DoD grants
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry partnerships with IBM/Google quantum divisions
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Davos Technology Forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Experience securing federal research grants ($500k+ awards)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum error mitigation
- Patent portfolio with 3+ quantum computing innovations
