Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using trapped-ion and superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error mitigation protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature Physics, Science, etc.)
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Contribute to quantum security standards for the National Quantum Initiative
- Present findings at international conferences including IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with hardware platforms
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and noise mitigation strategies
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
