Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Design and implement error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum-AI hybrid computing models
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature Quantum and IEEE journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at room temperature
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2021-2026 graduates preferred)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong track record of securing NSF or DARPA research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
