Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and drug discovery
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum error mitigation protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world industrial applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and whitepapers on quantum supremacy breakthroughs
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Strong background in machine learning applications for quantum systems
