Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning tasks
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation by 2026
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance architectures
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Proven track record of securing competitive research funding
