Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and qubit stability at cryogenic temperatures
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and materials science
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise-scale problem solving
- Secure and manage $2M+ research budgets through federal grants and industry partnerships
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science and present at premier quantum conferences
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and drive quantum literacy across organizational units
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and statistical analysis
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership in multidisciplinary R&D environments
