Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Present findings at international quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research with demonstrated publications
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- Track record of translating research to prototype implementations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
