Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning problems
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubits and quantum annealing systems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for quantum decoherence challenges
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit compilation
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent quantum computing methodologies
- Present research findings at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meetings
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum complexity theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum circuit simulation and optimization tools
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
