Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead experiments on quantum hardware platforms including superconducting qubits and ion traps
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams in quantum principles
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Secure research grants and patents for novel quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency with quantum hardware interfaces (Qiskit Runtime, IBM Q Experience)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
