Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance and logistics
- Optimize quantum circuits for error correction and coherence in 50+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum prototypes into scalable solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics/Science journals
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate decoherence challenges
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE QCBS)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Experience with D-Wave, IBM Q, or Rigetti quantum hardware
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental results
