Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols and fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using advanced cryogenic and photonic platforms
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure multi-million dollar government and industry research grants
- Partner with national labs (Los Alamos, MIT Lincoln Lab) on classified quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum computing research
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction, quantum algorithms, or quantum hardware design
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic systems, superconducting qubits, or photonic quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
