Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Lead qubit coherence experiments in cryogenic environments
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in leading scientific journals
- Mentor junior researchers and secure federal research grants
- Participate in quantum ethics and security framework development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum error correction or algorithm optimization
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave engineering
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF or DOE research funding
