Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems

- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit implementations
- Identify and validate commercial applications for quantum technologies in target industries
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical research projects from conception to publication
- Expertise in high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
