Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with NASA and MIT on quantum-encrypted satellite communication projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum gate simulators (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum computing libraries
- Understanding of topological quantum computing frameworks
- Clearance for DOE quantum research initiatives
- Experience with quantum annealing solvers (D-Wave, Advantage)
