Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum advantage claims using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with ML engineers to hybridize quantum-classical computing pipelines
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Secure government and industry grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation
