Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum gate operations and qubit stability
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (QAOA, VQE, Shor's variants)
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in condensed matter physics and superconducting systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing setups and RF control systems
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
