Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum) and present at IEEE conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate decoherence in quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Patent 3+ breakthrough quantum computing methodologies annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in tensor network simulations and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Fluency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
