Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on our proprietary 1000-qubit processor
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant cryptography systems
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review X)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface/colour codes)
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or photonic systems
- Strong background in computational complexity theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
