Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-correction methodologies
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with IBM Q or Rigetti
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding
