Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant cryptography protocols
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and top-tier conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical models with practical implementations
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
- Identify commercialization pathways for emerging quantum technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction techniques
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
